Our Workshops

At Art by Ife, our workshops bring creativity and sustainability together. We guide participants to explore the beauty of upcycling, transforming everyday discarded materials into meaningful art pieces. Each session is designed to inspire hands-on learning, spark imagination, and promote environmental consciousness through creative expression.

Our workshopsturn waste into art and inspire sustainable creativity.

International Women's Day IWD 2025

In 2025, Ife was selected to exhibit her artwork at The Minories Art Gallery, Colchester, as part of the International Women’s Day Exhibition organised by Women Assemble Colchester. Alongside her exhibited piece, she served as Project Lead for the Women’s Community Art Project, where she designed and led the creation of a Suffolk puff quilted banner spelling “I-W-D.” The project, developed in partnership with Textile Collective CIC, engaged women of all skill levels in workshops using reclaimed fabrics. The final collaborative artwork was unveiled and displayed at The Minories alongside her own piece. The project fostered creativity, community, and environmental awareness, leading to her ongoing role as Lead Instructor at Textile Collective’s Eco Textile School.

International Women's Day Abuja

For International Women’s Day 2021, we partnered with the Slay Dot Com initiative to train women in the community in various upcycled crafts. The women were excited to learn new skills, transforming everyday discarded items into useful and creative products. Through this experience, they not only gained valuable knowledge but also became more environmentally conscious and responsible, embracing sustainability in their daily lives.

Upcycle & Chill with Ife

I collaborated with Global Justice Youth Now (UK) to lead a creative workshop at the University of Essex, teaching participants how to transform discarded materials like cardboard and textile waste into art. The session, held alongside a talk on fossil fuel divestment, was my initiative to add a creative dimension to climate change and sustainability conversations.

Rice & Spice Festival, Colchester

At the arts and crafts workshop, the kids were so enthusiastic to learn how to create art pieces using waste cardboard and fabric scraps. They particularly loved the bright colors of the scraps and were really good at personalizing their pieces.

Here I was delivering lectures on environmental sustainability, I also talked about some notable Sustainable artist who have make an impact through their work.
