An ongoing programme of creative sustainability workshops delivered by Ife as Lead Instructor at the Eco Textile School, run by Textile Collective CIC in Colchester.
The Eco Textile School is built on a belief that creativity and sustainability belong together. Using only donated and reclaimed textiles, each session guides participants through hands-on projects that result in something beautiful — while building skills, confidence, and environmental awareness along the way.
As Lead Instructor, Ife designs and delivers a rotating curriculum of workshops. Sessions range from introductory fabric manipulation and patchwork to more advanced textile sculpture and sustainable fashion construction. No prior experience is required — the school is deliberately open and accessible.
Beyond the practical skills, the workshops create a space for connection, mindfulness, and shared expression. Many participants describe the sessions as meditative — a rare opportunity to slow down, make something with their hands, and feel part of a community.
The school runs regular weekly and monthly sessions, with occasional intensive workshops and community events throughout the year.
